Our Three Schools

One campus, a continuous journey

Redwood Science Academy is a single, seamlessly connected institution that accompanies every pupil from their first days in the classroom to the moment they collect their IB Diploma or Career-related Programme certificate. The journey is unbroken, and the community that forms along the way endures for life.

Each school has its own distinct character, dedicated Head and pastoral team — yet all three share the same values, the same commitment to inquiry-led learning and the same expectation that every child can surpass what they thought possible. Our buildings, timetables and co-curricular programme are deliberately designed to bridge the three phases: Primary pupils visit the Senior School science laboratories; Senior pupils mentor younger children through our Reading Partnerships scheme. That vertical sense of community is what turns a school into a place families stay loyal to across generations.

Three Schools

Find the right stage for your child

Primary School

Ages 3–11 · IB Primary Years Programme. Our youngest learners thrive in nurturing classrooms built around wonder and discovery. The PYP's six transdisciplinary themes give children a coherent framework for connecting what they learn to the wider world, whilst expert class teachers ensure that literacy, numeracy and research skills grow in tandem with confidence, curiosity and joy.

Middle School

Ages 11–16 · IB Middle Years Programme. The MYP is perfectly suited to early adolescence — curious, questioning, sometimes restless. Pupils investigate global contexts, produce an independent Personal Project in Year 5 and learn to assess their own work with honesty and rigour. Our House system ensures no pupil navigates this formative phase without a strong web of adult and peer support.

Senior School

Ages 16–18 · IB Diploma Programme & Career-related Programme. Sixth-form pupils choose the pathway that best serves their ambitions. The rigorous, internationally recognised DP prepares students for leading universities worldwide, whilst the CP offers a sophisticated blend of academic depth and vocational excellence. Our College Advisory team opens doors to institutions on every continent.

Our Approach

Learning that is active, purposeful and real

Redwood's curriculum is framed by the belief that knowledge is built, not delivered. Across all three schools, teachers act as co-investigators — posing questions alongside pupils, modelling intellectual humility and celebrating the productive confusion that precedes genuine understanding.

Lessons are structured around the IB's five approaches to learning: thinking, communication, research, self-management and social skills. Every unit of inquiry carries a visible connection to at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal, ensuring that what children study in class is anchored in the challenges and opportunities of the world they will inherit.

Beyond the classroom, a rich co-curricular programme — encompassing sport, performing arts, community service and Model United Nations — ensures that academic ambition is matched by breadth of character and depth of lived experience.
